There must be something about the T-GT that even when in compatibility (T300 RS mode) the game just doesn't see it as such. If the wheel is not auto-recognised you can still set your wheel in the controller options menu and even set the button mapping for the *racing* functions (eg brake bias, FFB options, cockpit views etc) but when you are out of actual racing and just navigating the game menus, even the basic buttons don't work.īecause I want to use VR and not have to take off the HMD to find my keyboard to navigate the game menus it can become a bit tiresome. So it recognizes the wheel and buttons, you can map the buttons but the buttons don't work in game? From what I can gather, but I may be wrong, if you use a compatible wheel, the game should auto recognise the wheel on game startup and allow you to use the wheel buttons to navigate the game menus.

To setup PS4 controller on PC for advanced gaming in FPS games, map mouse movements to D-pad or to XYAB and set the needed parameters in Mouse settings. With the PS4 controller, I use mine for certain games on pc and mines the translucent red one that came out sometime in 2017 and my brother uses his that came with the original ps4 around launch day for Destiny 2 on pc so you shouldn't have a problem. Out of interest the wheel works fine in the PS4 pcars2 demo (in other mode of course) - but I was looking forward to VR pcars2 on the PC. Here is the manual reference on the topic: I am guessing at this point that pcars2 doesn't auto-detect the T-GT as a T300 so the menu UI functionality doesn't work however the wheel can be forced in the options menu. The *basic* T300 buttons on the wheel don't even work there which is strange because they are detected in the wheel configuration options. I don't have a problem with the wheel in pcars 2 with the actual *driving* aspect (even the extra rotary knobs can be configured?), just the external (to the racing) game UI menus. I am not expecting the GTsport specific wheel transducer or rotary knobs etc to work. F1 2016 is scheduled for release on August 19 for PC Xbox One and PlayStation4. Indeed the wheel is sold as PC/PS4 compatible. The wheel is in "Other" mode not "GTSport" and in this case the manual states that the wheel is reported as a T300 RS to the PC. I appreciate the wheel is not on the compatibility list, I was hoping someone might know a work-around.
